Coach Damon

My name is Coach Damon.  I have been a tumbling and cheerleading instructor for 20+ years.  I started as a competitive power tumbler and competed at the elite level until I graduated from high school.  I began teaching while in high school and have been learning new techniques and acquiring knowledge since then.  I went to college at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology.  While there, I worked for the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA).  I taught summer camps to junior high, senior high and college-level cheer squads, and judged try-outs and cheerleading competitions at all levels. I also was a cheerleader at Sam Houston and competed at the national level until an injury prevented me from doing so.  After the injury I became the coach of the all-girl cheer squad and won 2 national championships.  This opened a new door for me.  I began working in the Houston area continuing to teach tumbling and cheerleading.  I worked for several gyms where we won numerous national championship titles.  I have been the director of tumbling programs, been a mentor to numerous people, and have acquired a huge amount of knowledge about tumbling and cheerleading and will continue to do so as long as I can.   I look forward to working with all of you very soon.
